I remember when I was breastfeeding my daughter wishing that I could tag team with her dad. Between a lack of sleep from getting up every couple of hours during the night to the dehydration, no matter how much water I drank, it really took it out of me.
Of course there's not much that could be done. After all dads can't breastfeed, or can they?...

A new product was recently shown at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, which could see fathers being able to breastfeed their child.
Dentsu (a tech firm from Japan) showcased its new breastfeeding system which they have named the Father's Nursing Assistant.
The wearable device lets dads feed their baby in the same way that a breastfeeding mother would, and promotes skin-to-skin contact between fathers and infants.
One of the fake 'breasts' holds the milk or formula and the other contains the nipple system. Not only does the device feed the baby, it also tracks data about baby's nursing sessions and transmits the info to dad's smart phone.
The Father's Nursing Assistant is not for sale yet, but I can see a few mums sticking them on their baby registry lists once they are.
