Oops! Venus let’s slip the gender of Serena’s baba at the French Open

Serena has been adamant that she won't find out her baby's gender prior to the little one's arrival in three months' time.

However, her sister Venus has other ideas. Being interviewed earlier today at the French Open by EuroSport, the elder Williams sister very much used 'she' when referring to Serena's baba. "I want to be known as the favourite aunt," she gushed. She added, however, that her sisters were squabbling over the small matter of the little girl's name: "We're a like baby V, baby Lyn, baby Esher, we all want the baby to be named after us!"

Venus, 36, and Serena, 35, have three older sisters: Yetunde, Lyndrea and Isha.

Recently - while attending the Met Gala in New York on May 1 - Serena said she didn't know the gender of her baby, adding that she wanted it to be a "surprise".

"We're waiting," she stated. "We call it 'baby'."

Serena is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Earlier this year she won the Australian Open while eight weeks' pregnant.
