Michaella McCollum announces she has given birth to twins

Michaella McCollum has confirmed that she has given birth to twins in a sweet Instagram post. The new mum shared the first look at her "darling" little ones, one week after they were born. https://www.instagram.com/p/Biy2g-7Amp7/?taken-by=michaella_mccollum The video appears to have been taken in the hospital, as Michaella still has medical equipment attached to her hand. Social media users rushed to congratulate her following her happy news. And while the new mum hasn't revealed the gender of her newborns, some people began to congratulate her on her "beautiful baby girls". The 24-year-old announced her pregnancy in January this year, admitting she was having "some crazy dreams." In the social media announcement, she wrote:

"Wow had some crazy dreams... guess that's what happens when your dreaming for more than one."

She served just over two years in jail before she released on parole in March of last year, but she initially has to stay in Peru. She carried out volunteer work until August, when she was permitted to fly back to Belfast. She is due to publish her first book, which is due to hit the shelves this summer.
