Jamie Heaslip and wife Sheena expecting their first child together

It’s an exciting time for Jamie and Sheena Heaslip as the couple have announced they are expecting their first child. Yes, the Irish rugby star shared the news that the pair are to become parents, saying: “My wife is expecting so it is an exciting time for us,” he told the Irish Mail on Sunday. A proud uncle to eight nieces and nephews, Jamie says that he’s been getting some training in but this will be a whole new experience. “I have had experience of small children but I have always been able to hand them back.” Jamie and Sheena married back in August 2016 after a six-year relationship and now prepare to welcome their first child. However, Jamie kept tight-lipped on how far along his wife is, so no information on a due date just yet. Jamie marked the couple’s one-year anniversary on Instagram last August with some never-before-seen pictures from the big day, saying: “How time flies when you’re having fun. One year on and going strong. Happy Anniversary, Sheena!”
