Anine Kirsten and Max Basler have focused on making toys for the majority of their careers and with their latest product – hope to increase the ‘creative potential’ of LEGO for ‘people young and old’.
Interestingly, the project was crowdfunded on Indiegogo, with Lego-loving enthusiasts raising 50 times over the original target of $8,000 (£6,551). In fact, accoring to reports, so far 12,600 backers have raised nearly $450,000 (£368,505) for the project.
As of yet, the tape rolls (which cost $11 per roll, or 10 rolls cost $50) are being produced in blue, orange and red, but more colours might be added later.
