The new uniform choice has also been met by heat from the Japanese parliament who believe it is an outrageous ask especially without the consent of parents who have children attending the school.
In Japan, each school has the right to make their own call on rules and uniforms however the parliament notes that this is a big ask and could cause friction amongst children in school and pressure on parents to supply these essentials.
