Irish girl (6) in serious condition after swimming pool accident in Malta

The incident happened on the island of Gozo around 5.30pm yesterday evening.

A six-year-old girl has been left in serious condition in hospital after she got into trouble in the swimming pool of a private residence. The family of the child immediately gave her first aid before an ambulance arrived on the scene. The family were staying in the area of Ghajnsielem and were taken to Gozo General Hospital where the girl is being treated. Local police have confirmed that the six-year-old is suffering from “serious injuries” and is now in intensive care.
