Music icon Tina Turner dies following long illness

Music icon Tina Turner has sadly passed away at the age of 83.

The singer died following a long illness, her publicist announced this evening. They issued a statement following the 'Proud Mary' singer's death. "Tina Turner, the “Queen of Rock’n Roll” has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland," they told PA. One fan wrote, "An absolute legend. Her music will always be the one that gets people on the dance floor." Another added, "Rest in peace, Tina Turner. Your legacy will continue to impact everyone’s lives and artistry."
