Emmerdale has dropped a huge clue about Rebecca White’s fate

Uh oh.

Emmerdale's Rebecca White hasn't been seen for awhile - and fans are starting to get really worried. The mum hasn't been seen on-screen since August 9, when her nephew (and kidnapper) Lachlan appeared to suffocate her in shocking scenes. Since they haven't seen Rebecca's body, Emmerdale fans are still hoping that she will turn out to be OK - especially since there has been no exit statement from Emily Head, the actress who plays her. But in scenes that aired on Tuesday night, it appeared as if Lachlan slipped up and revealed what really happened to Rebecca - and it's not looking good. The episode saw Lachlan go visit Rebecca's baby son Seb - who is also his only living relative in the village - at Aaron and Robert's house.

Speaking about his aunt in the past tense, Lachlan told Seb:

"I know your mum's not around, but I need you to know that she loved you very much."

His girlfriend Belle Dingle jumped and corrected him, saying: "Loves. She still loves you, Seb."

Nervously correcting himself, Lachlan added:

"Yeah, that's what I meant. And while she's not here, I'm going to look out for you. I'm going to give you everything you need."

It's not totally clear if Lachlan accidentally gave the secret away without Belle or Aaron realising it - or if he simply misspoke. But it's definitely not looking good for poor Rebecca.
