It's true. Your skin is an organ – your body's biggest organ, in fact, that every day protects us from pretty much the entire outside world. Eating better will no doubt improve your overall health and feelings of wellness, but if your skin is your major concern, here are six foods nutritionist Vicky Pennington told Red magazine we should all be loading up on:
1. Leafy greens and whole grains
2. Nuts and berries
3. Lentils, asparagus and kale
4. Deeply pigmented fruits and vegetables such as sweet potato, broccoli and cauliflower
5. Fatty fish, such as wild salmon and mackerel
6. Chia flax seeds
