Cool Planet are running some very crafty Christmas workshops perfect for school-aged children

If you are looking for something a little different to the usual 'Santa's Grotto' visit this festive season, we reckon this Christmas Lantern Workshop migth just be perfect. At the Cool Planet experience in Powerscourt, Co. Wicklow, crafty kids who love making and creating things will be able to sit down in the Christmas Lantern Workshop and cut, paste and glue together their very own lanterns to take home – or gift someone this Christmas. The workshops all last 90 minutes, and all materials are supplied. Decorating with Christmas themes of candy-canes and gingerbread-men and using a simple LED circuit, the kids will then get to light up their creation – ready to put on the mantel when you are back home. Cool Planet's festive workshop will no doubt excite your kids and teach them about sustainable and low-carbon energy choices, particularly around Christmas. The workshops cost €20 per child and are suitable for kids aged 6-12and. They will run every Saturday and Sunday from 23rd November - 22nd December at 11am and 2pm, and booking is essential.
